Youth Program Quality Research: National Findings and Local Implications - May 1, 2009
This event was co-hosted by the University of Minnesota Extensions Center for Youth Development, Youth Work Institute, and was sponsored by The McKnight Foundation. (See the day's Agenda.)
The learning objectives for the morning session were to hear findings from national and Minnesota studies on youth program quality, understand implications for improving program quality and organizational settings, gain insight on levels of quality based on Minnesota data, and learn strategies to improve program quality. The afternoon session learning objectives were to learn about funding streams that support out-of-school time programming in Minnesota, hear findings from national and Minnesota cost studies and understand implications for quality improvement, learn strategies how to improve program quality, and hear from national researchers on youth program quality.
